Virtual Photo Walks uses smart phones and video conferencing to enable people isolated by illness, disability or age to travel the world in real time free of charge. Thanks to our technology partners and a group of dedicated virtual volunteer guides from all over the world, we're able to make the world bigger and brighter for our community of people with disabilities. Our hope is through our efforts, we can make a difference in people's lives.
Talk to us about how video conferencing can combat isolation. We use the secure video conferencing platform zoom.us.

Achieving Relevance through Interpretive Media and Technology:
San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park
Mark Neuweld, Erika Brown, and other Interpretation Division staff worked with a non-profit to produce real-time Virtual Photo Walks of the historic waterfront. People with disabilities from all over the world experience the bay landscape, learn about maritime history, and engage with park rangers in real-time through smart phones and video conferencing technology.
